Master Tim Simmons started training in Tang Soo Do under the tutelage of long time Frederick martial arts pioneer Master William Wickham in 1979. After being promoted to 1st Dan Black Belt, Master Simmons continued his formal training and was awarded his Chief Instructors Degree under Grand Master Frances Esteban Conde in 1990. Master Simmons has taught 1000’s of students in numerous martial arts facilities in the Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C. area.

Master Simmons has worked with many high profile martial artists including Ernie Reyes Sr. “Ernie Reyes’ West Coast World Karate Association” and Ernie Reyes Jr. of MTV’s Final Flu.

In 1991 Master Simmons was listed as Top 10 by Karate Illustrated Magazine for Men’s Black Belt Form Competitor. From 1989 – 1995 Master Simmons was undefeated and retired ranked #1 as Karate World Ratings Men’s Breaking Champion. In 1992-1995 Karate World Rankings ranked Master Simmons #1 in Weapons and #6 in Forms. Master Simmons has won over 200 first place and Grand Championship trophies in breaking, forms, weapons, and fighting competitions. As recently as 2009, Master Simmons has won the Florida, Maryland, Washington D.C, New York, Ohio, New England, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey State Championships.

Master Simmons goal is to teach students the traditional art of Tang Soo Do so that they may also learn the same traditions and values that he has been given over the past 30 years.
